This photo depicts a bird flying up onto a tree branch…so majestic. What I’ve learned about the environment on campus this year is that the weather patterns are absolutely insane in Maine. Being from Washington where it pretty much just rains all year, it was surprising when there are days that are near freezing and then the next day it’s 60 degrees and above. Also being on the water, the wind exacerbates the regular cold temperatures and it can be unbearable walking outside at times. Another thing that is important to take into consideration next year is that people should cover themselves in bug spray early in the first semester because of all of the mosquitos. I have never seen mosquitos like there are here anywhere else that I’ve been. I can just remember my arms and legs being covered in bites for over a month here. Another thing is that there is a lot of wildlife on campus as there is on all school campuses including, flocks of turkeys, birds, geese, ducks, and many more.
